Huntingtown High School Library Media Center

Tuesday

September

We accomplished a lot in the Media Center this past September! All of the Freshman English classes came in for their library orientations. We played Survivor. We also had some interesting research projects: Mr. Koch's classes came in to pick out Historical Fiction books... they are creating preview folders about their books. This assignment is due in October. Mr. James' classes came in a number of times to research various countries. Ms. Morris had her classes in the Media Center to research children with special needs and disabilities. Ms. Gibson's seniors learned about the different print resources available to them, and some of the pitfalls of researching using Search Engines. Mr. Moreland's classes set up accounts on NoodleTools so that they can create Works Cited lists for the History Fair. Mr. Smith's classes researched Athletic Training rooms, while Ms. McQuighan's classes researched Harley Davidsons, and Mr. Wright's classes researched suspects for the murder of Martin Luther. Mr. Currier and Ms. McClellan brought in a guest speaker to talk about a career creating video games. Maybe your class will be next....

Watch and See: In October we are gearing up for the History Fair.
