Digital Posters

Back to School Idea:
Kick off the new school year by having students create an “All About Me” poster using GlogsterEDU! These interactive digital posters can display students’ knowledge on any unit of study— a great alternative to the traditional report.

More Teaching Ideas for Using Glogster in The Classroom

Tips:
1. Make sure your students are using the education version of Glogster: http://edu.glogster.com/ (Students will not be able to open the regular glogster.com at school due to our filters.)
Register for a free ‘Basic Teacher’ account using any e-mail address.
2. Once registered, scroll down your dashboard page and click ‘Add New Students’ to specify the number of accounts you need (up to 50 for free).
3. Open Glogster EDU subaccounts from your dashboard as shown in the screenshot below. (Click to enlarge.)

4. Copy and paste the subaccounts into a Word document.
5. Print one “master list” for yourself, and label the names of every student you assign to each account.
6. Print another copy that can be cut into strips. Each student (or group) will receive a strip of paper with their nickname, password, and first login link.
7. Remember that these accounts can be used all year long.
8. Return to your dashboard, click “Create New Glog” and enjoy!
9. Click Save & Publish frequently. All saved work will be available under "My Projects" every time you log in.
10. If you limit access to your class only by keeping a glog "private," you can use copyrighted materials under Fair Use. Please encourage proper documentation and limit the distribution of the URL. (Source: Teachers First, The Source for Linking, Inc., 2011)
