Time Toast

Time Toast is a free web tool that lets you create and share timelines online. Users can add pictures and web links to make timelines in a matter of minutes. Easy enough for even the youngest students to use!

Like Time Toast? You'll LOVE Dipity. Great for middle and high school students, or for any teacher who would like to embed videos and maps into a digital timeline format.

Back to School Idea: Students create a timeline of their lives to introduce themselves to the class. (More advanced students could create a parallel timeline of major world events from the time they were born until the present day.)

Tips:

1. Students can work independently or cooperatively to create a timeline.




2. Keep timelines in draft form to keep them private.




3. Use this project as an opportunity to teach students about their digital footprint. Teach the importance of not sharing too much personal information.




4. Practice good digital citizenship. Give credit to all sources and use creative commons or public domain images and clipart.
